Most Muslims would be hard pressed to find a Black Muslim in the seerah other than Bilal RA, even though there was a plethora of black influences around the prophet PBUH who played a pivotal role in leadership positions and in the background.

This lack of information, comes from a lack of scholarly discussion about the presence of Black Muslims and significance of their actions in shaping Islamic history.
